Dakota Halliburton was born in 1992 and raised in Austin, Texas. She earned an AAS in Photo Specialist Art from Austin Community College. She pursued a BFA in Fine Art photography, a minor in Imaging Systems, and an immersion in Museum Studies at Rochester Institute of Technology. She is currently an MFA in Studio Art at the University of Connecticut and working as a gallery assistant.
