When I was a little girl, I would always ask my older sister, Melissa, “What sound do clouds make?” “What sound do trees make?” The questions often left me curious and explored the nature of sound. I find myself familiar with the vibrations of unfamiliar sounds. Sometimes, I stand outside and become familiar with nature's characteristic of sounds by using my body to feel the silent vibrations, which I can’t tell whether they are loud or quiet. The world might seem scary without reverberation, but I would rather be curious than scared by not hearing anything. The colorful strings represent my connection with the unfamiliar sounds through my body while my feet are on the ground, and my hand is on the object. I allowed the vibrations to pass through me and became familiar with the sounds I felt. The black and white represent the world where I stand, and they remind me of the silence, and the silence is an echo, yet I cannot hear but feel the silent echo. The colors of the stitch give the symbol of loud, and the colors are considered loudest, brightest, darkest, and quietest. I am the color and loud.
